Experience Summary
The Ballestas Islands are one of the most important ecological treasures of the Peruvian coast. With Nairi Tours, you will board modern fiberglass speedboats equipped with the latest generation of eco-friendly outboard motors.
During the outbound journey to the islands, we will stop in front of the Paracas Peninsula to view the enigmatic "Candelabra" geoglyph, over 170 meters long and dating back to the Paracas culture. Upon reaching the islands, we will sail slowly and respectfully through their natural arches and caves carved by wind and erosion.
You will be amazed to observe colonies of sea lions playing in the water or resting on the rocky beaches, immense flocks of guano birds (such as the booby, guanay cormorant, and Inca tern), and the charming Humboldt penguins in their natural nesting sites.
Detailed Itinerary
Step 1: Check-in and Boarding (7:45 AM or 9:45 AM)
Meeting point at the El Chaco Tourist Pier in Paracas. Welcome, fitting of ergonomic life jackets, and port ticket check.
Step 2: The Mysterious Candelabra (8:15 AM / 10:15 AM)
Strategic stop to photograph and understand the history of this giant geoglyph on the sand of the peninsula.
Step 3: Ecological Exploration (8:45 AM / 10:45 AM)
Arrival at the islands. Cruising at reduced speed around the main beaches and rock formations. Close-up observation of birds and sea lions.
Step 4: Return and Disembarkation (9:30 AM / 11:30 AM)
Direct sailing back to the El Chaco dock. End of the tour service at the port.
