Our expedition takes place along designated and protected sand and salt paths within the Paracas National Reserve. The entire route is guided by a specialized instructor who leads the way in a lead unit, ensuring safety at all times.
During the two-hour excursion, we will drive through the vastness of the Paracas salt desert, visiting key observation points and spectacular viewpoints such as Paracas Bay, Yumaque Beach, and the iconic Red Beach. You will feel the wind on your face and the unique energy of driving over the Peruvian desert terrain while the Pacific Ocean frames the horizon.
Detailed Itinerary
Step 1: Instructions and Driving Practice (15 minutes)
Meeting point at our operations base in Paracas. Safety briefing, helmet and goggle distribution, and a practice session on a closed circuit to familiarize yourself with the controls of your quad bike or mini buggy.
Step 2: Salt Desert Route (45 minutes)
Entry to the National Reserve. Driving through flat trails and open desert areas, observing the sedimentary geology of the region.
Step 3: Stop at Yumaque Beach and Red Beach (40 minutes)
Stop at oceanfront viewpoints to rest, hydrate, and take incredible photos of the cliffs and crimson sand.
Step 4: Return and Equipment Drop-off (20 minutes)
Final drive back to the operations base. Return of safety equipment and end of the experience.
