Paragliding in Paracas
Experience Summary
Contemplate the desert and the ocean from a perspective reserved for birds. The tandem paragliding flight over the cliffs of the Paracas National Reserve is an unforgettable experience that combines the thrill of floating in the air with the absolute peace of gliding over majestic natural landscapes.
You do not need any type of prior experience or technical training. You will fly safely coupled with a professional pilot certified internationally by APPI Fly and the Peruvian Paragliding Association. Together, you will perform an assisted takeoff taking advantage of the dynamic wind and rising currents that hit the imposing sea cliffs of Paracas.
The flight time suspended in the air is approximately 10 to 15 minutes (subject to the day's wind conditions). During this time, you will enjoy a 360-degree view of Supay Beach, the peninsula, and the deep blue of the Peruvian Pacific. If you wish, we record your experience in a high-definition video (with a handheld GoPro camera) so you can take this incredible memory with you forever.
Detailed Itinerary
Step 1: Transfer and Wind Check-in (30 minutes)
Transfer to the authorized takeoff point on the cliffs of the reserve. Real-time verification of wind speed and direction by the head pilot to ensure safety.
Step 2: Equipment Setup and Technical Briefing (15 minutes)
Fitting of individual harnesses, helmet placement, and explanatory talk about the simple actions to take during takeoff (walk and run briefly) and landing.
Step 3: Free Flight over the Cliffs (10-15 minutes)
Takeoff and smooth ascent. Dynamic flight suspended in the wind along the giant rock walls dropping into the Pacific Ocean.
Step 4: Landing and Video Handover (15 minutes)
Soft landing in the same takeoff area. Gear removal, download of the memory card with your flight video directly to your phone, and return to the hotel.
